When to see a doctor

- You have a high fever that lasts more than 3 days after getting a vaccine, or your temperature is above 38°C (100.4°F).
- You experience severe pain, swelling, or redness at the site of the vaccine injection that spreads to other parts of your body.
- You have difficulty breathing or swallowing after receiving a vaccine, or you feel like you are choking.
- You experience a severe allergic reaction after getting a vaccine, such as hives, itching, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- You notice a change in your skin, such as a rash, blisters, or open sores, after receiving a vaccine, especially if it's severe or spreads quickly.
