The MMR vaccine is a live vaccine that contains weakened forms of the measles, mumps, and rubella viruses, which trains your body's immune system to recognize and fight these diseases without actually making you sick.
Activates humoral and cell-mediated immunity by stimulating B and T lymphocytes against measles, mumps, and rubella viral antigens, establishing protective antibody production and immunological memory without causing active disease.

If your child or you missed the second dose, go to the clinic as soon as you remember, as there is no need to restart the whole thing. Just pick up from where you stopped. The important thing is to make sure both doses are eventually received.
Only receive this vaccine at registered government or private health facilities, never from unverified sources, as the vaccine must be properly stored in cold chain. Make sure your child gets both doses as scheduled; one dose alone does not give full protection. Keep your immunization card safe, as you will need it for school enrollment and future medical visits.

This is why you should only receive it at a proper clinic or hospital, never buy it from roadside vendors or unregistered pharmacies. Keep away from children.
