How to take this drug

Take one 400mg tablet once a day, with or without food. Sofosbuvir is never used alone — it is always taken together with other antiviral medicines as prescribed by your doctor. A typical treatment course lasts 12 to 24 weeks depending on your type of hepatitis C.

What if I Miss a Dose?

If you miss a dose and remember within 18 hours, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for the missed dose.

St. John's Wort (a herbal supplement) should also be avoided as it reduces how well the drug works.
