Sofosbuvir/Ledipasvir is a combination antiviral tablet that fights the hepatitis C virus by blocking two different proteins the virus needs to multiply in your liver.
Inhibits hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (sofosbuvir) and NS5A protein (ledipasvir), blocking viral replication and preventing HCV protein synthesis. This dual mechanism achieves rapid viral suppression and sustained virological response in chronic hepatitis C infection.

Take one tablet once a day, with or without food. The usual treatment lasts 8 to 12 weeks, but your doctor may extend it to 24 weeks depending on how serious your liver condition is. Swallow the tablet whole — do not crush or chew it. In Nigeria, you may find it sold as Sofgen-L Tablets.
If you miss a dose and it is less than 18 hours since you were supposed to take it, take it as soon as you remember. If it is more than 18 hours late, skip the missed dose and take the next one at your regular time. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for it.
Complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better — stopping early means the virus can come back and become harder to treat. Only buy from licensed pharmacies, not roadside sellers, because fake hepatitis C drugs are common in Nigeria and can be dangerous. If you also have hepatitis B, tell your doctor before starting this medicine as it can cause your hepatitis B to flare up.
Do not take this drug with amiodarone (a heart medicine) as it can dangerously slow your heartbeat. Avoid taking it with rifampicin or rifabutin (commonly used for tuberculosis treatment in Nigeria) as they reduce the drug's effectiveness. St. John's wort herbal supplements and certain HIV medicines can also interfere — always tell your doctor about everything you are taking.
