This is a combination antibiotic injection containing two forms of penicillin — Procaine Benzylpenicillin (a slow-release form) and Benzylpenicillin Sodium (a fast-acting form). Together, they quickly kill bacteria and keep working in your body for a longer time.

This drug is given as an injection into the muscle (usually the buttocks) by a nurse, doctor, or trained health worker — it is NOT for self-administration. Adults typically receive 1 to 4 million units once or twice daily depending on the type and severity of infection. Your doctor will decide the exact dose and how many days you need it. Always complete the full course even if you feel better.
If you miss a scheduled injection, go to your hospital or clinic as soon as possible to get it. Do not try to double up. Missing doses of antibiotics can make the infection harder to treat, so try to keep all your appointments.

Always get this injection from a licensed hospital, clinic, or pharmacy — never from roadside sellers or unqualified persons, as fake or expired injections are dangerous. Watch for any signs of allergic reaction for at least 30 minutes after each injection.
Methotrexate (used for arthritis or cancer) — penicillin can increase its side effects. Probenecid (used for gout) — can increase penicillin levels in the blood. Blood thinners like warfarin — penicillin may increase bleeding risk. Let your doctor know all medications you are currently taking.

Store the powder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid storing near windows or in cars. Once mixed with water, use it immediately or within a few hours as directed. Always keep out of reach of children.
