When to see a doctor

Seek care if you notice any of the following

  • If you have a skin infection that is spreading quickly to other parts of your body.
  • If you have a boil or wound that is not healing after 7-10 days of treatment.
  • If you notice pus or discharge from a boil or wound that is thick and yellow or green.
  • If you have a fever over 38°C (100.4°F) that lasts for more than 2 days.
  • If you have difficulty moving a limb or feeling numbness or tingling in a part of your body due to a skin infection.
