This is a combination cream that contains three active ingredients: betamethasone (a steroid that reduces swelling, redness, and itching), clotrimazole (an antifungal that kills fungus), and neomycin (an antibiotic that kills bacteria). Together, they treat skin infections that involve inflammation, fungus, and bacteria at the same time.

Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin area 2 to 3 times daily. Gently rub it in. Wash your hands before and after applying unless your hands are the area being treated. Do not cover the area with a tight bandage unless your doctor tells you to. Use it for the number of days your doctor or pharmacist recommends — usually not more than 2 weeks.
If you forget to apply the cream, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for the missed dose.
Important for antibiotics
Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.
Do not use this cream for longer than your doctor prescribed — using steroid creams for too long can permanently damage your skin and make it very thin. Do not buy from roadside sellers or use someone else's prescription cream, as the wrong treatment can worsen your skin problem. This cream is popular in Nigeria under brands like Bactineal Cream, 3K Cream, and Arigold — always make sure you buy from a licensed pharmacy and check the expiry date.
Avoid using other steroid creams or medicated skin products on the same area at the same time unless your doctor says so. If you are taking any oral steroid medications like prednisolone, tell your doctor before using this cream. Do not mix with other antifungal or antibiotic creams on the same spot.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid leaving it in your car or near a window. Keep the tube tightly closed after use. Keep out of reach of children.
