When to see a doctor

Seek care if you notice any of the following

  • You experience heavy bleeding or spotting between periods that lasts for more than 2 days.
  • You have a fever over 38°C (100.4°F) that lasts for more than 2 days.
  • You have difficulty urinating or feel like you cannot fully empty your bladder.
  • You experience severe pain or swelling in your testicles or groin area.
