Triamcinolone is a strong anti-inflammatory steroid (corticosteroid) that works by reducing swelling, redness, itching, and allergic reactions in the body by calming down your immune system's overreaction.
Binds to glucocorticoid receptors in the cytoplasm, translocating to the nucleus to suppress pro-inflammatory gene transcription and inhibit the production of cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules. This action suppresses T-cell activation, reduces immune cell infiltration, and decreases inflammatory mediator release across multiple tissue types.
