When to see a doctor

Seek care if you notice any of the following

  • You have severe pain in your joints that makes it hard to move your limbs or walk.
  • Your joints are swollen and red, and you have a fever over 38°C (100.4°F).
  • You have difficulty breathing or experience chest pain or tightness.
  • You have a rash or itching all over your body, or your skin turns yellow or pale.
  • You experience severe dizziness or fainting, or you have trouble speaking or swallowing.
