This is a combination drug containing theophylline and salbutamol — two medicines that work together to open up your airways and make breathing easier. Theophylline relaxes the muscles around the airways while salbutamol quickly opens them up.

Adults usually take 1 tablet two or three times a day, depending on your doctor's instruction. Swallow the tablet with water, and you can take it with or without food. Try to take it at the same times each day to keep the medicine working steadily in your body. Known in Nigeria as Astepro Tablets or Rismanol-F Tablet.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Never take two doses at once to make up for a missed one.
Buy only from registered pharmacies — avoid roadside sellers, as fake versions of this drug are common and can be very dangerous. Do not increase your dose on your own even if your breathing does not improve — too much theophylline can cause seizures. If you notice your heart beating very fast or irregularly after taking this drug, stop and see a doctor immediately.
Avoid drinking coffee, kola nut, or energy drinks while on this drug — they contain caffeine which increases side effects like fast heartbeat and shakiness. Erythromycin and ciprofloxacin (common antibiotics in Nigeria) can dangerously raise the level of theophylline in your blood. Avoid alcohol as it can worsen side effects and affect how the drug works.
