Who is this for?
This is a combination drug containing theophylline and salbutamol, two medicines that work together to open up your airways and make breathing easier. Theophylline relaxes the muscles around the airways while salbutamol quickly opens them up.
**Theophylline:** Inhibits phosphodiesterase enzymes, increasing intracellular cAMP levels in bronchial smooth muscle cells, causing relaxation and airway dilation; also stimulates respiratory centres in the medulla. **Salbutamol:** Activates beta-2 adrenergic receptors on bronchial smooth muscle, increasing intracellular cAMP and causing rapid smooth muscle relaxation and bronchodilation.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Never take two doses at once to make up for a missed one.

Erythromycin and ciprofloxacin (common antibiotics in Nigeria) can dangerously raise the level of theophylline in your blood. Avoid alcohol as it can worsen side effects and affect how the drug works.
