This is a combination drug that contains orphenadrine (a muscle relaxant) and paracetamol (a painkiller). Orphenadrine works by relaxing tight, stiff muscles while paracetamol reduces pain and fever, so together they relieve pain caused by muscle spasms and tension.

Adults usually take 1 to 2 tablets two to three times a day, depending on the brand and strength. Take with a glass of water, preferably with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours unless your doctor says otherwise. Common brands in Nigeria include Anorol, Epigesic, and Orphesic tablets.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.
This drug can make you drowsy, so avoid driving or operating heavy machinery after taking it. Do not combine with other paracetamol products — many Nigerian cold and pain drugs already contain paracetamol, and taking too much can seriously damage your liver. Always buy from a licensed pharmacy, not roadside sellers, to ensure you get genuine medication.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this drug as it can make drowsiness and dizziness much worse. Be careful if you are taking other drugs that cause sleepiness such as antihistamines (allergy drugs like chlorpheniramine or Piriton). Do not combine with other paracetamol-containing drugs (like Panadol or cold remedies) as this can lead to paracetamol overdose which damages the liver.
