When to see a doctor

Seek care if you notice any of the following

  • You have severe chest pain or pressure that spreads to your arms, back, neck, jaw, or stomach.
  • You experience difficulty breathing or shortness of breath that makes it hard to speak or walk.
  • You have severe headache with fever, confusion, or stiff neck.
  • You vomit blood or have black, tarry stools.
  • You have severe pain that does not improve with painkillers, or if you experience numbness, tingling, or weakness in your face, arms, or legs.
