How to take this drug

This is applied directly on the skin, not swallowed. Clean the wound gently first, then apply a thin layer of the ointment or sprinkle the powder on the affected area 1-2 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Cover with a clean bandage if needed.

What if I Miss a Dose?

If you forget to apply it, simply clean the wound and apply the medicine as soon as you remember. Then continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply double the amount to make up for a missed application.

Important for antibiotics

Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.

What to watch out for

Always buy from a reputable pharmacy — avoid buying wound powders or ointments from roadside sellers or open markets as they may be fake or expired. Use the product for the full duration your doctor recommends, even if the wound looks better, to prevent the infection from coming back. Do not apply on deep puncture wounds or very large burns without seeing a doctor first.

Avoid using on very large body areas if you are taking lithium (a mental health drug), as absorbed iodine can interact with it.
