Meloxicam is a strong anti-inflammatory painkiller that works by reducing substances in your body that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation. It belongs to a group of drugs called NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).

Take one tablet once a day, usually 7.5 mg to start. Your doctor may increase it to 15 mg once daily if needed. Take it with food or after eating to protect your stomach. Swallow the tablet with a full glass of water. Try to take it at the same time every day.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for it.
