How to take this drug

Adults usually start with one 50mg tablet taken once a day, with or without food. Your doctor may increase it to 100mg once daily if your blood pressure is not well controlled. Try to take it at the same time every day. Popular brands in Nigeria include Emzor Losartan, Heartlic, AG Losartan, Czartan, and Azegnar.

What if I Miss a Dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for the one you missed.

Do not stop taking losartan suddenly because your blood pressure feels normal — high blood pressure often has no symptoms but can still damage your body.
