How to take this drug

Adults usually take 1–2 tablespoonfuls (15–30 ml) two to three times daily, or as directed on the product label. You can take it with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Shake the bottle well before each use.

What if I Miss a Dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Don't double up to make up for a missed dose.

What to watch out for

Always buy from a reputable pharmacy — avoid blood tonics from roadside sellers or unregistered shops as they may be fake or expired. Do not take more than the recommended dose thinking it will build your blood faster, as too much iron can be dangerous. If your tiredness or weakness does not improve after a few weeks, see a doctor for a proper blood test.

Serious Side Effects

Severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face
lips or throat and difficulty breathing — go to the hospital immediately. Persistent vomiting or severe stomach pain also needs urgent medical attention.

Drug Interactions

Avoid taking this tonic at the same time as tetracycline or ciprofloxacin antibiotics — iron reduces how well they work; space them at least 2 hours apart. Antacids (like aluminium or magnesium-containing drugs) can also reduce iron absorption. Tea and coffee taken close to your dose can reduce how much iron your body absorbs.

This combination is generally considered safe and is often recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding to prevent low blood level, but always confirm with your doctor or midwife first.

Who Should NOT Take This

People who are allergic to any of the ingredients
those with conditions that cause iron overload (like haemochromatosis or sickle cell disease with frequent transfusions)
and people who have been told by a doctor that their anaemia is not caused by iron or vitamin deficiency.

How to Store

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid leaving it on window sills or in hot cars. Keep the bottle tightly closed after use and always keep out of reach of children.
