When to see a doctor

Seek care if you notice any of the following

  • If you have severe chest pain or difficulty breathing, go to your nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
  • If you have a fever over 38°C (100.4°F) that lasts for more than 3 days, go to your nearest clinic or hospital.
  • If you experience severe headaches, confusion, or seizures, go to your nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
  • If you have severe pain in your abdomen, back, or joints that does not respond to your usual pain relief medication, go to your nearest clinic or hospital.
  • If you notice a change in your urine output, such as not being able to pass urine or passing very little urine, go to your nearest clinic or hospital.
