Who is this for?

This is a combination medicine containing diphenhydramine (an antihistamine that helps stop coughing and dries up runny nose) and sodium citrate (which helps loosen thick mucus in the chest so you can cough it out more easily). Together they work to calm coughs and clear chest congestion.

Is Diphenhydramine safe to take with another drug?

For adults, take 10-20 ml (2-4 teaspoons) of the syrup every 4-6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours. You can take it with or without food. Use the measuring cup that comes with the bottle — don't just guess with a household spoon.

Since this medicine is usually taken only when you have symptoms, there's no strict schedule. If you forget a dose, just take it when you remember. But if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one — never double up.

Avoid drinking alcohol while using this medicine as it will make you very drowsy and dizzy. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be hot, so avoid leaving it on windowsills or in cars. Keep the bottle tightly closed after use. Always keep out of reach of children.
