Diclofenac Potassium is a painkiller and anti-inflammatory drug that works by reducing the chemicals in your body that cause pain, swelling, and fever. It works faster than some other forms of diclofenac because it dissolves quickly in your body.

Inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby decreasing pain, inflammation, and fever through suppression of inflammatory mediators.

Is Diclofenac safe to take with another drug?

1. 1.Adults usually take one 50 mg tablet two to three times a day, or one 100 mg tablet once or twice daily.
2. 2.Take it with food or immediately after eating to protect your stomach.
3. 3.Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water — do not crush or chew it.
4. 4.Do not take more than 150 mg in a day unless your doctor says so.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take two doses at once to make up for the one you missed.

Avoid taking it with other painkillers like ibuprofen or aspirin as this increases the risk of stomach bleeding. If you are on blood pressure drugs like lisinopril or losartan, diclofenac can reduce their effectiveness. Avoid alcohol while using this drug as it increases your risk of stomach ulcer and bleeding.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid keeping it near windows or in your car. Keep the tablets in their original pack and away from moisture. Always keep out of reach of children.
