Diclofenac Potassium is a painkiller and anti-inflammatory drug that works by reducing the chemicals in your body that cause pain, swelling, and fever. It works faster than some other forms of diclofenac because it dissolves quickly in your body.

Adults usually take one 50 mg tablet two to three times a day, or one 100 mg tablet once or twice daily. Take it with food or immediately after eating to protect your stomach. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water — do not crush or chew it. Do not take more than 150 mg in a day unless your doctor says so.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take two doses at once to make up for the one you missed.
Always buy from a licensed pharmacy — brands like Cataflam, Capifen, Curefenac, or Aceca 50 are popular in Nigeria, so check the packaging is sealed and not expired. Do not use this drug for long periods without a doctor's supervision as it can damage your stomach and kidneys. Do not combine it with other painkillers or 'agbo' (herbal mixtures) as this can cause serious side effects.
Avoid taking it with other painkillers like ibuprofen or aspirin as this increases the risk of stomach bleeding. If you are on blood pressure drugs like lisinopril or losartan, diclofenac can reduce their effectiveness. Avoid alcohol while using this drug as it increases your risk of stomach ulcer and bleeding.
