How to take this drug

For adults, the usual dose is based on the specific brand (e.g. Co-Arthemed or Lokmal QS Combi) — typically 4 tablets taken twice daily (morning and evening) for 3 days, making 6 doses total. Take with food or a milky drink, as fatty food helps your body absorb the antimalarial part better. Always follow the dosing instructions on your specific pack or as directed by your pharmacist.

What if I Miss a Dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up. Try to complete all 6 doses within the 3 days for the medicine to work properly.

What to watch out for

Complete the full 3-day course even if you feel better after the first day — stopping early can make the malaria come back stronger. Buy only from licensed pharmacies, not roadside vendors, to avoid fake or expired drugs. Do not take additional paracetamol (Panadol, Boska, etc.) while using this medicine unless your doctor says so.
