Antihistamine and Decongestant (eye preparation)
Last reviewed July 2026
Who is this for?
This is a combination eye drop that contains two active ingredients: antazoline (an antihistamine that stops allergic reactions in the eye) and tetryzoline (a decongestant that shrinks swollen blood vessels to reduce redness). Together, they quickly relieve itchy, red, watery eyes caused by allergies.
Blocks H1 histamine receptors to reduce allergic inflammation and itching, while activating alpha-adrenergic receptors to cause vasoconstriction of conjunctival blood vessels, thereby decreasing redness, congestion, and ocular irritation.
Red eye from allergies, itchy eyes, watery eyes, eye irritation from dust or pollen, allergic conjunctivitis (apollo caused by allergy)

If you forget a dose, just apply the drops as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not double up the drops to make up for it.
Buy only from licensed pharmacies, looking for known brands like Allerex Eye Drops or Ocullerg Eye Drops and checking the expiry date. Do not share your eye drops with anyone else, as this can spread eye infections. If your symptoms do not improve after 3 days or get worse, stop using the drops and see a doctor.
If you are taking MAO inhibitor drugs (some medicines used for depression or Parkinson's disease), do not use this eye drop without telling your doctor. Avoid using with other eye drops at the same time; wait at least 5 to 10 minutes between different eye medications. Alcohol can increase the drowsiness this drug may cause.
