When to see a doctor
Seek care if you notice any of the following
- If you have a severe eye pain that does not go away with over-the-counter pain relievers, go to your nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
- If you notice a sudden change in your vision, such as flashes of light, floaters, or blind spots, go to your nearest clinic or hospital right away.
- If your eyes are extremely sensitive to light and you cannot tolerate bright lights, go to your nearest clinic or hospital as soon as possible.
- If you experience a sudden increase in eye pressure, which may cause headaches, nausea, or vomiting, go to your nearest clinic or hospital immediately.
- If you notice a discharge or pus in your eye, especially if it is accompanied by redness, swelling, or a bad smell, go to your nearest clinic or hospital soon.
