Who is this for?
This is a combination of two water pills (diuretics), amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide, that work together to help your body get rid of excess water and salt through urine, while amiloride helps prevent your body from losing too much potassium.
Inhibits sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule and collecting duct through blockade of epithelial sodium channels (amiloride) and inhibition of Na⁺-K⁺-ATPase (hydrochlorothiazide), thereby increasing urinary sodium and water excretion while promoting potassium retention. This dual mechanism reduces intravascular fluid volume and peripheral vascular resistance, lowering blood pressure whilst preventing hypokalaemia associated with thiazide monotherapy.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but if it is already late afternoon or evening, skip it and take your next dose the following morning. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for the missed dose.

Avoid alcohol as it can make the dizziness and low blood pressure worse.
