Who is this for?

Trypsin and Bromelain is a combination of natural enzymes (proteins that speed up body processes) that help reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain by breaking down damaged tissue and improving blood flow to injured areas.

Cleaves fibrin, fibrinogen, and extracellular matrix proteins through serine protease activity, reducing inflammatory exudate accumulation and promoting tissue remodeling. Activates complement cascade degradation and enhances phagocytic clearance of damaged tissue and inflammatory mediators, facilitating resolution of edema and inflammation.

Is Trypsin; safe to take with another drug?

Take 1 to 2 tablets two to three times daily, preferably 30 minutes before meals or as directed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water — do not crush or chew the tablet. The common Nigerian brand is Kotase Tablet.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for it.

Blood-thinning medications like warfarin or aspirin — taking them together can increase the risk of bleeding. Certain antibiotics like tetracycline and amoxicillin may interact with these enzymes. Avoid taking with alcohol as it may worsen stomach irritation.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid leaving it in your car or near windows. Keep the tablets in their original pack and out of reach of children.
