Who is this for?
Travoprost/Timolol is a combination eye drop that contains two medicines working together to lower pressure inside the eye. Travoprost helps fluid drain out of the eye while Timolol reduces the amount of fluid the eye produces, both working to bring down eye pressure.
Activates prostaglandin F (FP) receptors to increase uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humour, while timolol blocks beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic receptors to decrease aqueous humour production, thereby reducing intraocular pressure.
High eye pressure (glaucoma), ocular hypertension (when the pressure inside the eye is too high and can damage your vision if not treated)

If you miss your evening dose, apply it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your normal schedule. Never put in two drops to make up for a missed dose.
Buy only from licensed pharmacies, as fake or expired eye drops from roadside sellers can cause serious eye infections or blindness. Do not share your eye drop bottle with anyone, as this can spread infections. If you notice your eye colour changing or the skin around your eyes getting darker, do not panic: this is a known effect, but mention it to your doctor at your next visit.
Other blood pressure or heart medicines (especially beta-blockers like atenolol or propranolol) can dangerously lower your heart rate when combined with this eye drop, so tell your doctor about all medicines you take. Calcium channel blockers like amlodipine may also increase the effect on your heart. If you use other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between applying each one.

This eye drop is not safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding as it may harm the baby, so do not use it unless your doctor says the benefit clearly outweighs the risk.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, as Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid leaving it in your car or near a window. Once opened, use within 4 weeks and then discard. Keep the bottle tightly closed and away from children.
