Phloroglucinol is an antispasmodic drug that works by relaxing the smooth muscles in your body, especially in your stomach, intestines, and urinary tract, helping to relieve cramps and spasms.
Inhibits phosphodiesterase enzymes and blocks calcium influx into smooth muscle cells, reducing myometrial and gastrointestinal smooth muscle contractions and alleviating visceral pain and spasms.

Adults typically take 1 tablet (80 mg) two to three times a day. You can take it with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. When the pain or cramping stops, you can stop taking it — it is usually used only when you have symptoms.
Since phloroglucinol is usually taken only when you have pain or cramps, missing a dose is not a big concern. If you are taking it on a regular schedule, take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but skip it if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose.
