Massage it well into the skin, leave it on for 8 to 14 hours (usually overnight), then wash it off with warm water. One application is usually enough, but your doctor may ask you to repeat it after 7 days if the itching continues. For head lice: Apply the 1% cream or lotion to clean, damp hair, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse off.
