Combination antibacterial, antifungal, and corticosteroid (steroid cream)
Last reviewed July 2026
Who is this for?
This is a combination cream that contains three active ingredients: neomycin (an antibiotic that kills bacteria), clotrimazole (an antifungal that kills fungus), and betamethasone dipropionate (a strong steroid that reduces swelling, itching, and redness). Together, they fight infections and calm skin irritation at the same time.
Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis (neomycin) by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity (clotrimazole) by inhibiting lanosterol 14α-demethylase in the ergosterol synthesis pathway, and suppresses cutaneous inflammation (betamethasone dipropionate) by binding glucocorticoid receptors and inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production.
Skin infections caused by both bacteria and fungus, itchy skin rashes with infection, eczema with infection, ringworm with swelling, jock itch (yansh or groin rash), athlete's foot with bacterial infection, stubborn skin rashes that are infected

If you forget to apply the cream, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for what you missed.
Do not use this cream to bleach or lighten your skin, as it contains a strong steroid that can permanently damage your skin if misused. Buy only from reputable pharmacies and avoid roadside sellers, as fake skin creams are very common in Nigeria. Do not use it longer than your doctor recommended, even if the rash has not fully cleared; go back to your doctor instead.
Avoid using other steroid creams or skin products on the same area at the same time, as this can increase side effects. Do not mix with other medicated creams or ointments unless your doctor or pharmacist says it is safe. If you are taking any steroid tablets or injections, let your doctor know before using this cream.
