This is a combination tablet containing two diabetes medicines — Metformin and Vildagliptin — that work together to control blood sugar levels. Metformin helps your body use insulin better and reduces sugar made by the liver, while Vildagliptin helps your body produce more insulin after meals and reduces excess sugar production.

Take one tablet twice daily with or just after food to reduce stomach upset. Your doctor will decide the right strength for you based on your current blood sugar level. Swallow the tablet whole with water — do not crush or chew it. Try to take it at the same times each day, for example morning and evening meals.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember — but only if it is close to a mealtime. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule. Never take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.
Always buy from a licensed pharmacy — brands like Galvusmet, Gliptus Plus, or Vildamet should come in proper sealed packaging; avoid roadside sellers or unverified sources. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own even if you feel fine — sugar disease needs continuous management. Learn to recognize signs of low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) and carry sugar or a sweet drink with you in case it happens.
Alcohol — drinking alcohol while on this medicine can dangerously lower your blood sugar and increase the risk of lactic acidosis, so avoid or greatly limit alcohol. If you are taking other diabetes medicines like glibenclamide or insulin, the combination may cause your blood sugar to drop too low. Certain kidney medicines or contrast dyes used for scans can interact badly — always tell your doctor about all your medications.
