Who is this for?

This is a topical ointment (cream you rub on the skin) that combines menthol and eucalyptus oil in a white ointment base — it works by creating a cooling and warming sensation on the skin that helps relieve pain, muscle stiffness, and nasal congestion.

Activates TRPM8 and TRPA1 cold-sensitive receptors on nociceptive nerve endings, producing a cooling sensation that gates pain signal transmission and provides counter-irritant analgesia; simultaneously stimulates nasal mucosa receptors to promote decongestion and improve airway patency through local vasodilation and mucus clearance.

Is Menthol; safe to take with another drug?

Rub a small amount gently onto the painful area or chest 2 to 3 times a day. For blocked nose, you can also rub a little under your nostrils or on your chest and inhale the vapour. Do not swallow it — this medicine is only for use on the skin.

Since you use this cream only when you feel pain or congestion, there is no strict schedule. Simply apply it when you remember or when you need relief.

• Mild skin irritation or redness where you applied it
• a tingling or burning sensation on the skin
• slight skin dryness at the application area

Avoid applying this ointment at the same time as other medicated creams or heat rubs on the same area, as this can increase skin irritation. Do not use together with heating pads or hot water bottles on the same spot.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can melt ointments, so keep it in a cupboard or drawer. Always keep the lid tightly closed and store out of reach of children.
