For adults, take 10–20 ml (2–4 teaspoonfuls) of the suspension three times a day, between meals and at bedtime. Shake the bottle well before use. If using tablets, chew 1–2 tablets as needed. It works best when taken about 1 hour after eating or whenever you feel the acid burning.

What to watch out for

Drug Interactions

Do not take this antacid at the same time as antibiotics like tetracycline or ciprofloxacin, as it can stop them from working properly. Wait at least 2 hours between taking this medicine and any other drug. Also avoid taking it with iron tablets (like the ones given for blood tonic) as it reduces their absorption.
