Combination antifungal, antibiotic, and corticosteroid (anti-inflammatory) cream
Last reviewed July 2026
Who is this for?
This is a combination cream that contains three active ingredients: ketoconazole (an antifungal that kills fungus), clobetasol propionate (a strong steroid that reduces itching, redness, and swelling), and neomycin sulphate (an antibiotic that fights bacteria). Together, they treat skin infections that involve fungus, bacteria, and inflammation at the same time.
Inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis via lanosterol 14α-demethylase (CYP51), while neomycin disrupts bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit; clobetasol activates glucocorticoid receptors to suppress inflammatory cytokine production and immune cell infiltration.
Skin rashes with fungal and bacterial infection, eczema with infection, ringworm with inflammation, stubborn itching and redness caused by mixed skin infections, dermatitis (irritated, inflamed skin)

If you forget to apply the cream, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, just skip the missed one and continue your normal routine. Do not apply extra cream to make up for the missed dose.
Important for antibiotics
Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.
Do not use this cream as a bleaching or skin-toning product, as it contains a very strong steroid that will damage your skin over time if misused. Do not use for longer than your doctor prescribed, even if the skin looks better. Buy only from a licensed pharmacy. Brands like Koniderm Cream, Skinlyf Cream, Savirone Cream, or Bari Cream are known in Nigeria, but always confirm you are getting genuine products.
Avoid using other steroid creams or skin products on the same area at the same time as this can increase side effects. Do not mix with skin-lightening or toning creams, as many of these already contain steroids and combining them can seriously damage your skin. If you are taking any oral antifungal or antibiotic medication, let your doctor or pharmacist know.
