This is a combination intravenous (IV) nutrition drip that contains sugar (glucose) for energy, amino acids (building blocks of protein) for body repair, fat emulsion for calories, and electrolytes (body salts) to keep your body balanced — it is given through a vein when a patient cannot eat normally.
Provides essential macronutrients—glucose for immediate ATP production via glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, amino acids for protein synthesis and cellular repair via ribosomal translation, and lipid emulsion for cell membrane integrity and energy storage—while electrolytes maintain osmotic balance, nerve conduction, and enzymatic function.

This is not a medicine you take at home by yourself. It is given as a slow drip into your vein (IV infusion) by a doctor or nurse in a hospital. The exact amount and speed depend on your body weight and nutritional needs, and only a healthcare professional should calculate and administer it.
Since this infusion is given in a hospital under medical supervision, your healthcare team will manage the schedule. If the drip is interrupted for any reason, inform your nurse immediately — do not try to adjust it yourself.
This product (known in Nigeria as Combiflex Lipid Peri Infusion) must only be administered in a hospital or clinic by trained medical staff — never attempt IV nutrition at home without supervision. Make sure the bag is not damaged, leaking, or discoloured before use. Report any unusual symptoms like fever, chills, or pain at the drip site to your nurse right away.
Some antibiotics and other IV medications may not mix well with this infusion, so your doctor will manage what goes into your drip line. Insulin dosing may need to be adjusted because of the glucose content. Always tell your medical team about every medicine you are currently taking.
