How do you take Clotrimazole; Ichthammol?

Clean and dry the affected area first. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin 2 to 3 times daily. Gently rub it in. Continue using it for at least 2 weeks or as directed by your pharmacist or doctor, even if the rash seems to be clearing up, as stopping too early can bring the infection back.

How it works

Inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis by binding to lanosterol 14α-demethylase (CYP51), disrupting cell membrane integrity and fungal growth, while ichthammol provides antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects through keratolytic action and reduction of pruritus and bacterial colonization.
