Clobetasol propionate is a very strong steroid cream or lotion that works by reducing swelling, redness, and itching on the skin — it calms down your body's reaction that causes skin irritation.

Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once or twice daily, gently rubbing it in. Do not use more than your doctor prescribed, and do not use it for longer than 2 weeks at a time unless your doctor specifically tells you to. A little goes a long way — you only need enough to lightly cover the affected area.
If you forget to apply it, just apply it as soon as you remember. But if it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for it.
Many bleaching and skin-toning creams sold in Nigerian markets contain clobetasol without proper labelling — using these daily for skin lightening is very dangerous and can permanently damage your skin. Do not use this cream on your face, armpits, or groin unless a doctor specifically tells you to. Always buy from a registered pharmacy and look for trusted brands like Dermovate, Clobetasol Cream, or Dodovate — avoid unregistered products from roadside sellers.
Avoid using other steroid creams or medicated skin products on the same area at the same time unless your doctor says so. If you are using skin-lightening or toning creams, do not mix them with clobetasol as this can seriously damage your skin.
