How do you take Clobetasol Propionate; Clotrimazole?

Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin area twice daily, morning and night. Gently rub it in. Do not use it on large areas of the body. Do not use it for more than 2 weeks unless your doctor specifically tells you to, because the steroid in it is very strong.

What is this drug?

This is a combination cream that contains two active ingredients: clobetasol propionate (a very strong steroid that reduces swelling, redness, and itching) and clotrimazole (an antifungal that kills fungus and yeast infections on the skin).

How it works

Inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis by blocking lanosterol 14α-demethylase (via clotrimazole) while simultaneously activating glucocorticoid receptors (via clobetasol propionate) to suppress inflammatory cytokine production, reducing both the fungal infection and associated inflammation, itching, and swelling.
