Combination cream: Strong steroid (anti-inflammatory), Antifungal, and Antibiotic
Last reviewed July 2026
Who is this for?
This is a combination cream that contains three active ingredients working together: Clobetasol (a very strong steroid that reduces swelling, redness and itching), Miconazole (an antifungal that kills fungus), and Gentamicin (an antibiotic that kills bacteria). It treats skin infections that involve inflammation, fungus, and bacteria at the same time.
Binds to glucocorticoid receptors to suppress inflammatory cytokines and immune responses, while miconazole inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis by targeting lanosterol 14α-demethylase, and gentamicin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.
Skin infections with itching, redness and swelling, fungal skin infections like ringworm with bacterial infection, eczema with secondary infection, rashes with mixed infection, stubborn skin irritation caused by both fungus and bacteria

If you forget to apply the cream, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, just skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for what you missed.
Important for antibiotics
Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.
Do not use this cream on your face for a long time, as the strong steroid can permanently damage facial skin and cause a condition that makes your face dependent on the cream. Buy only from reputable pharmacies and look for known brands like BG Cream, Micocin Cream, or Oxylinemed Cream. Avoid unbranded creams from roadside sellers or markets. Do not use this as a bleaching or toning cream, as many people in Nigeria misuse steroid creams for skin lightening, which causes serious long-term skin damage.
Avoid using other steroid creams or skin products on the same area at the same time, as this can increase the risk of side effects. Do not mix with other antifungal or antibiotic creams on the same spot unless your doctor says so. If you are taking steroid tablets or injections, let your doctor know before using this cream.
