Brolucizumab is an injection given directly into the eye that works by blocking a protein called VEGF, which causes abnormal blood vessel growth and leakage in the back of the eye, helping to protect your vision.
What is it used for?
Wet age-related macular degeneration (a condition where the central part of your vision gets blurry or lostusually in older people)diabetic eye disease (swelling at the back of the eye caused by diabetes)
