Who is this for?
This is a skin cream that combines two active ingredients: betamethasone (a steroid that reduces swelling, redness, and itching) and fusidic acid (an antibiotic that kills bacteria causing skin infections). Together, they treat infected skin conditions by fighting the infection and calming the inflammation at the same time.
Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to bacterial elongation factor G, while betamethasone binds to glucocorticoid receptors to suppress inflammatory cytokine production, reduce vasodilation, and inhibit immune cell infiltration at the infection site.

If you forget to apply it, put it on as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply extra cream to make up for the one you missed.
Important for antibiotics
Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.
Do not use this cream for longer than 2 weeks unless your doctor tells you to, as long-term steroid use can permanently damage your skin. Do not share this cream with others even if they have a similar skin problem, as their condition may need a different treatment.
Avoid using other steroid creams or ointments on the same area at the same time, as this can increase side effects. There are no major food or alcohol interactions since this is a topical cream, but alcohol on broken skin can cause stinging.
