How to take this drug

Apply a thin layer of the cream (e.g. Misone-N Cream) to the affected skin area 2 to 3 times daily. Gently rub it in and wash your hands after applying. Do not cover the area with a tight bandage unless your doctor tells you to. Usually used for 1 to 2 weeks — do not use for longer than your doctor recommends.

What if I Miss a Dose?

If you forget to apply the cream, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next application, just skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for a missed dose.

Important for antibiotics

Always complete the full course even if you feel better. Stopping early can cause the infection to return and become drug-resistant.

What to watch out for

Do not use this cream for longer than your doctor prescribed — using steroid creams too long can damage your skin permanently. Make sure you buy Misone-N Cream or similar products from a reputable pharmacy, not from roadside sellers or open markets where storage conditions are poor. Do not share your cream with others, even if they have a similar-looking skin problem.

Who Should NOT Take This

People allergic to beclometasone
miconazole
neomycin
or any aminoglycoside antibiotics should not use this cream. Do not use on viral skin infections like chickenpox or cold sores
on deep open wounds
or on acne. People with tuberculosis of the skin should also avoid it.

How to Store

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid leaving it in a car or near a window. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
