This is a medicated powder that combines three active ingredients — zinc oxide (which protects and soothes the skin), dimethicone (which forms a barrier to keep moisture away from irritated skin), and clotrimazole (an antifungal that kills the fungus causing the infection).
Inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes via lanosterol 14α-demethylase inhibition (clotrimazole), while zinc oxide and dimethicone create a physical barrier that protects skin, reduces moisture, and prevents fungal proliferation in warm, moist body fold environments.

Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly, then apply a thin layer of the powder (e.g. Exlotrix Powder) to the affected skin 2 to 3 times daily. Do not cover the area tightly — let air reach the skin. Continue using for at least 2 weeks or as directed, even if the rash looks better.
If you forget to apply the powder, just apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not apply double the amount to make up for the missed dose.
Buy from a trusted pharmacy — avoid buying medicated powders from roadside sellers or market stalls, as fake products are common in Nigeria. Complete the full course of treatment even if the rash clears early, otherwise the fungal infection can come back. Keep the affected area clean and dry — in hot, humid Nigerian weather, sweat can make fungal infections worse.
