Anudol Suppositories

Who is this for?

This is a combination rectal suppository (a small bullet-shaped medicine you insert into your anus) that works by protecting and soothing irritated skin around the anus, reducing swelling, and helping damaged tissue heal faster.

Forms a protective barrier on anal mucosa while exerting astringent and antimicrobial effects; zinc oxide and bismuth compounds reduce inflammation and promote tissue healing by suppressing inflammatory mediators and facilitating epithelialization of damaged tissue.

Is Zinc safe to take with another drug?

Insert one suppository into the anus at night, in the morning, and after each time you use the toilet. Wash your hands before and after use. Remove the wrapper before inserting. You can moisten the tip with water to make insertion easier. Sold in Nigeria as Anudol Suppositories.

If you forget to use a dose, insert it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, just skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not use two suppositories at once to make up for it.

There are no major known drug interactions since this medicine works locally in the anus and very little enters the blood. However, if you are using any other creams or suppositories for pile, tell your pharmacist so they can advise you properly.

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C — keep it in the fridge if your area is very hot, as the suppository can melt in Nigerian heat. Keep away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
