Ayrtons Syrup of Haemoglobin with Vitamin B12

Who is this for?

This is a blood-building supplement that combines Vitamin B12 with haemoglobin (the iron-rich protein found in blood) to help your body produce healthy red blood cells and fight anaemia (low blood level).

Is Vitamin safe to take with another drug?

For syrups like Jessy Hemoglobin Plus or Vamis Syrup of Haemoglobin, adults usually take 2 to 3 tablespoonfuls (15–20 mL) two to three times daily, preferably before meals for better absorption. Shake the bottle well before each use. Follow the dosage on your specific product label or as directed by your pharmacist.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, just skip the missed one and continue as normal. Do not take a double dose to make up for it.

• slight metallic taste in the mouth

Avoid taking this supplement at the same time as tetracycline or ciprofloxacin antibiotics, as it can reduce how well those drugs work — space them at least 2 hours apart. Antacids (like aluminium or magnesium-containing ones) can reduce absorption, so take them separately. Tea and coffee taken with or just after the supplement can reduce iron absorption.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so avoid leaving it on window sills or in cars. Keep the bottle tightly closed after use and store out of reach of children.
