Who is this for?

This is a combination cold and flu medicine that contains paracetamol (to reduce fever and pain), phenylephrine (to unblock your stuffy nose), chlorphenamine (to stop sneezing and runny nose), and menthol (to soothe your throat and help you breathe easier).

Inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis to alleviate pain, fever, and inflammation; activates α1-adrenergic receptors causing nasal vasoconstriction to relieve congestion; blocks H1 histamine receptors to suppress allergic symptoms including sneezing, rhinorrhoea, and lacrimation; soothes irritated mucous membranes through topical cooling action.

Is Paracetamol; safe to take with another drug?

Adults should take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed, but do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours. You can take it with or without food, but taking it with a little food can help if it upsets your stomach. Swallow with a full glass of water.

Since this medicine is taken only when you have symptoms, there is no strict schedule. If you forget a dose, just take it when you remember, but make sure you do not take more than the maximum daily dose.

Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make you very drowsy and can increase the risk of liver damage. Avoid taking other paracetamol-containing medicines (like Procold, Combiflam, or another cold medicine) at the same time to prevent overdose. If you are taking blood pressure medications, talk to your doctor first because phenylephrine can raise your blood pressure.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — Nigerian weather can be very hot, so do not leave it in your car or near a window. Keep the pack tightly closed and far from the reach of children.
