This is a combination medicine containing two active ingredients — Nebivolol (which relaxes blood vessels and slows the heart rate) and Hydrochlorothiazide (a 'water tablet' that helps your body get rid of excess salt and water through urine). Together, they work to lower high blood pressure more effectively than either one alone.
Blocks β1-adrenergic receptors in the heart and vasculature, reducing cardiac output and peripheral vascular resistance, while inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule, promoting sodium and water excretion to decrease blood volume and intravascular pressure.

Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Swallow with a glass of water. Your doctor will determine the right strength for you. Do not stop taking it suddenly — your doctor should reduce the dose gradually.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your regular schedule. Do not take two tablets at once to make up for it.
Avoid drinking alcohol as it can increase dizziness and lower your blood pressure too much. Be careful if you are taking other blood pressure medicines like Lisinopril (common in Nigeria) as the combination may drop your pressure dangerously low — your doctor must monitor you. NSAIDs like ibuprofen (commonly bought over the counter) can reduce the effectiveness of this medicine.
