Methoxy polyethylene glycol-epoetin beta (sold as Mircera) is an injection that helps your body make more red blood cells. It works by mimicking a natural hormone called erythropoietin that your kidneys produce to signal your bone marrow to produce red blood cells.

Anaemia (low blood level) caused by chronic kidney diseasewhether or not you are on dialysis
