This is a combination antacid and anti-gas medicine — magaldrate neutralizes excess stomach acid while simeticone (simethicone) breaks up gas bubbles in your stomach and intestines so you feel less bloated.

Adults should take 1–2 teaspoonfuls (5–10 ml) between meals and at bedtime, or as directed by your pharmacist. Shake the bottle well before each use. You can take it with a little water if the taste bothers you. Do not take more than 8 teaspoonfuls in 24 hours unless a doctor says so.
Since this medicine is usually taken when you feel symptoms like heartburn or bloating, there is no strict dosing schedule. Simply take it when you next feel discomfort — do not double up to make up for a missed dose.
Buy only from reputable pharmacies — brands like Gascol, Gastomac, or Raphcid are well known in Nigeria. Do not use this medicine continuously for more than 2 weeks without seeing a doctor, as persistent stomach pain could be a sign of something more serious. If your symptoms do not improve after a few days, see a doctor instead of just increasing the dose.
This antacid can reduce how well other medicines work if taken at the same time — especially antibiotics like tetracycline and ciprofloxacin, and iron supplements. Take other medicines at least 2 hours before or after taking this antacid to avoid interference.
